Everyone knows that you can sympathize with the characters in a book, but that you can feel them yourself is rare. I don’t know how else to describe it, but this extraordinary story touches me very much on several levels. Grace is one of the nicest characters I have ever read. What I like most about her is the fact that she doesn’t change until the end of the book. She doesn’t suddenly become the heroine or the cool confident chick. I found Trent fascinating. Drawn to Grace for reasons he doesn’t understand, despite a relationship that lasted years. His behavior towards both women was decent, I liked that a lot. You knew something was coming, but what really happened I didn’t expect. It was tragic and incredibly sad. But Anna managed to get everything back to a happy ending. Beautifully and sensitively told without rambling. Emotional but in appropriate measure. Highly recommended. A book that you will not forget so quickly.
