„Hate you, Henley“ by Hannah Gray

Hate you, Henley

By Hannah Gray

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I was immediately captivated by the story. A deep friendship from birth that could have become more, and as so often happens, turns to hate through misunderstanding and concealment.

I loved how persistent Weston is in his efforts to protect Henley, and I loved what Henley actually does to protect Weston.

After a mistake is made and even more horrible experience afterwards, Henley’s world is nothing but painful.

She doesn’t want to let anyone get close to her and least of all Weston.

Weston has no idea what happened to Henley, he only knows that the girl he loves is no longer herself.

Suspicions and silence have also ruined his relationship with his twin, as he suspects that Dane has something to do with Henley’s behavior.

Nevertheless, it comes as it must, Weston and Henley come closer and confess their feelings, then it comes to the bang. The truth comes out and has to come out.

Weston pulls away hurt and Henley takes that as an opportunity to change and fight.

I love the happy ending and the epilogue. Of course, all is well after a long and painful road.

Also the two families, their cohesion and understanding was impressive and heartwarming to read.

Also for the side characters. A beautiful story that shows you should never give up, no matter what side you are on.

Written fluidly and encouraging to read on.

Highly recommended.

“This romance has it all”

This is my first book by this author but DEFINITELY not my last. I like the kind of story, small town, older brother’s friend. And this one really hit every nerve with me. You could literally feel everything the characters felt thanks to the writing style. It was so vividly described and written. About the story: we have Harper, a pre-kindergarten teacher with body and soul. When suddenly the fate of 2 small children plays with badly, she immediately helps. But some obstacles force her to enlist the help of Knox, her older brother’s best friend, and her childhood crush. Knox agrees, of course, and suddenly finds himself in a situation he never expected. Suddenly, Harper and Knox have to go down paths together that they would never have dared to think about. A long, hard and sometimes tearful road lies ahead for the two, but in the end the heart always wins. I like Knox and Harper very much, this will happen to everyone. And their friends and the kind of friendships are wonderful and go to the heart.

“Beautifully tragic and love wins in the end”

The story of Shane and Remy begins like a normal love story, but it contains so much more. Remy does not have an easy childhood and no roots. Shane has already experienced loss and is just about to live his dream. Together they could complement each other and surf off into the sunset, if it weren’t for some obstacles. When everything seems to be heading for a happy ending, fate strikes. It is not until 6 years later that the two meet again. All kinds of feelings now prevail between the two. Can love overcome everything? Is it stronger than the past? Love, grief, loss, fear, etc. This book has them all, the feelings. Wonderfully described and written. I often had to cry and have suffered with. But at the end? I also eagerly read the story of Dylan, Remy’s twin and loved it just as much.

“Going through all the emotions”

The highly anticipated conclusion to Nix and Harleighs story is finally here. And it has all the feels that gives you shivers, tears and a little heartbreak. I am a huge fan of Nix in this part, he trys all his best to be and become the man B needs. I was afraid he could lost his way but was so relieved that I was proofen wrong. And Harleigh? Oh my, I could unterstand her so well. The thoughts and feelings she was gone through and still did. I don`t want to say too much, but it all played very well in the end. And the way to the end was so intense, so emotional and full of love, you could feel it when reading. Really really perfect brought to end. At the end of the day family has not to be the one you are related to by blood, it is the people you choose to be your family. I am looking hard forward to read the next story in the world of Nix and his B.

A funny and sweet romance with extras”

This author was new to me but since the preview read like the kind of story I like to read. I went into this book with an open mind. And I have not regretted it for a single second. It will definitely not be the last book I will read by her. The story itself is surrounded by sad past events that shape the lives and behavior of the two main characters. Maddie who tries to bring some life back into her life and faces new things. Max who keeps up appearances in every way, because anything else would show weakness, and that does not create trust and security. Both are stuck in their views and learn together that there are more things than the outside and the appearance. A blind date with consequences that no one saw coming. A very well written story with many witty dialogues, funny moments and also sad aspects. I have laughed tears, and also had to suppress a sob here and there but here the many beautiful moments definitely outweigh. Gladly the next book again with it.

“Found the perfect Book-Boyfriend“

This is a very beautiful written story about two people who are meant to be together, but are making a regretful choice as teenagers. Fate and purpose leading the paths of Mason and Presley together again after 6 years of radio silence. From day one Mason is the definition of the perfect bookboyfriend. I can’t say a single bad thing about this guy except making the incorrect decision at age 18. He does everything to convince Presley that they are made für each other. And much of conviction doesn’t Presley really need. Presley is a cool chick and a very devoted Mum. Her story has one or two surprises in store. But as a single Mum of a toddler she has to consider more than her own needs and feelings. This book describes the way it takes to become the person the other one needs you to be. Hurt feelings, fear of loss and trust issues can be the greatest opponent. With physical attraction and the remnants of young love, can you build your future? Again, it is a wonderful, heartwarming and full of love in many directions story, that holds you on the line and leaves you with a sigh in the end. Highly recommended, especially for those who believe in second chances and true love.

“No more Mr Nice Guy”

We know Toby from former books in this series, being the brother of Stella. Known as the good and nice guy, is he here, in his story, to change that point. A good story with a lot of potential, I’m so curious and excited to see what happens next with Jodie and Toby. I had the whole time in mind how this part would end and was surprised at the end itself. Desperate due to grief and loss, Jodie can not cope in the world at the moment. She finds some fun and distraction in the nightlife with her cousin Bri. Her tendency to forget leads her to Toby, but her easy trust and lack of curiosity could be her undoing. Basically, Toby is a wounded boy who wants to repay his father’s years of violence against him and his mother. Born as part of a world that left him no choice. But inside he is actually too good, he has a conscience and something like feelings. In the end, however, he tries to suppress them and drags Jodie into his vendetta. As a conscious victim. And when the truth finally comes out? We will find out in the next book. I really can’t wait. Highly recommended.

“This story broke my heart”

How many times can a heart break? With this book, more than you can count. Mine broke like a hundred times. We knew Maddox story wouldn’t be full of sunshine and joy. But how dark, how painful and how sad and tragic it really was, I didn’t see coming. Maddox ist full of anger, rage and  pain. He has huge mental illnesses and because of that he is also an addict. His complete life is so full of tragic that I want to take him and wrap him in a blanket full with love and care.  But he refuses to talk about his problems with his friends and refuses help in every way. If anybody deserves a HEA and a wonderful life than it is Maddox. I can’t find words or either, the right words to review. All I want to say is, WHEN DOES THE STORY CONTINUE? Because it ends with a cliffhanger.
