Favourite quote: This is unreal. He’s the human version of a golden retriever. I’m convinced.

“Daddy Graham makes me swoon”

I really liked Reed and Holland’s story already, but this one surpasses them. How wonderful is Graham, please. Hello? Yes his reputation wasn’t really the burner, but he turned it around unerringly and I was immediately a bit in love with him. Emery seems a bit cold and career-obsessed at first, but when you look deeper you see that it’s all a kind of self-protective mechanism. She was hurt and now puts her career above everything. More than she already does. Since both are not completely open and honest with each other, it complicates things a lot. Especially after the discovery of the pregnancy. Will Graham be able to convince Emery or will there be more complications for the two of them. When a list, the attempt of conviction and an unplanned pregnancy suddenly make two people completely different.

“Just the beginning…”

The author was new to me but the content of the story read like my favorite books, so I was in. At first I was confused but then I understood and quickly got into the story. Carina Adams gave me a book I didn’t know I needed. We see the beginning of a young love affair between two teenagers who have known each other their whole lives and have only ever been friends. Or at least didn’t want to admit to each other anymore. Lennon is a rather introverted but not shy girl who loves reading more than normal teenage stuff. Still, guys are starting to notice her. This puts Dean on the map. Does he have to or should he now slowly do something? He is the epitome of the golden boy. Everyone knows him, likes him and is friends with him. Both are gradually getting closer, but there are some obstacles and people in their way to each other and with each other. And then, it begins, becomes exciting and the cliffhanger comes. Book 1 end. Well, what can I say, I can hardly wait for the second part. Because with the short intro and the equally short outtro can be guessed, there is still a lot to come. I am EXCITED.

Favourite Quote: “I know it’s crazy, I know you feel like you barely know me. But I need you, Demon, in a way I didn’t even know was possible.“

“Anticipated sequel, cruel cliffhanger”

Tracy writes the best stories but her cliffys are cruel. I expected a lot but nothing is guaranteed in this book. It picks up seamlessly where the first book leaves off. Toby makes a 180 degree turn from the beginning. He has come to an important realization. For Jodie, new insights become her reality. Her entire story is and has been rewritten. Emotional chaos on all sides and the question of how to continue, can it go on at all. I am, hands down, in this part really a huge fan of Toby. Yes, he screwed up a lot in the first book, more than that, but here he makes up a lot of ground for me. Jodie has a lot to deal with and I’m right there with her. In this part, a lot builds up, explains itself and gives room for several possibilities. I also found it very nice and important that the other characters were so often a part here. The end? Oh man, how can you wait until the next part for the answers. Mental cinema at its best. Emotionally deeper than the predecessor, in all directions, but sooooo well written. I was in the middle of it instead of just being there. A really rousing series that includes many directions.

“Made me cry, because it is the end of an era”

Wow, this was it. The last book in the Landry Love Series. And right now, I’m speechless. With every book I’ve read from this series, I was saying, that was my favourite couple. In the the end there were Willa and Evan on place 2 and Hayden and Chloe on top. But Sean and Sadie? Oh my! I’m really sad, that it is the end. Scratch that, I am full on crying on this fact. I’ve often said this is THE bookboyfriend, but boy, I didn`t expect Sean. He tops everyone else for a while. A sweet, caring, loving guy, with a heart so big it is unbelievable. And Sadie is, despite everything that she has experienced, a fierce woman with a beautiful soul. These two complement each other in the best ways. So perfect as a couple, as friends. A beautiful written story for these two and an great ending for the series itself. I am sad, but happy for a great closure. End of an era. Thank you Amy.

Favourite Quote: „I told you I’d give you the world, Em, and this is only the start.“

I am obesessed with this series!

OMG! Maren, what have you done to me? You made me a sobbing mess almost the whole book through. I am clearly and truly obesessed with this series. And Graham and Emery, oh boy, are these two my favourite people in the book world right now.

What has make Emery a 180 turn. I loved her sooo much in this book. Her changing, her thoughts and what length she went for her family. Absolutely awesome.

No need to talk about Graham, or? How can anyone not love him? He is bookboyfriend perfection in perfection.

Graham and Emery set the score very high in this one. After a few obstacles they are stronger as a couple as before, and their love for their girls is completely adorable. No matter what goes on.

The story is a mix true love and sadness. Settled in with real life experiences that everyone can comprehend and the outcome of these. But written with so much heart and sensitiveness that it on instant breaks your heart to put it together in next moment, stronger than before. I can’t wait for next book, and am already sad by the thought that it is ALMOST the end. For that? I m not ready and will never be.

Favourite Quote: The cold, hard truth is that I’m the third girl in his life.

This can`t be the end!

Oh my god, nooo, please tell there are some cousins or friends or anyone else, because I’m not ready for this series to end! No other book in a long time had me brought to tears that often. Matt`s story would be sad, that much was clear through the previous books. But that it was gonna be this hard? You could literally feel his grief and pain. All of his emotions. Skylar is such a caring person. Her will to help and support is so strong and I adored her for that. You could feel the connection between Matt and Skylar. The way everything slowly changed and turned. Nothing was easy or simple, nothing was gone with time, but that was exactly what made my day. Because that is life. This book was not a fairytale, it was real and raw and beautiful. I loved it. I want more of these beautiful people. Maybe an epic epilogue?

Favourite Quote: “I have nothing without you. Nothing! I’ve never moved on. Never stopped loving you. My love for you is forever, Laney. Like I promised you on our wedding day”.

“My favourite Brookhaven Guy”

Wow, what a deep story. So many emotional themes, so many feelings, so much Logan and Laney. I was drawn into the story so quickly that I almost read it all in one go. I kept wanting to know what was going to happen next. Laney’s story is sad and you immediately feel for her. Guided by her own thoughts, she made a decision 8 years ago that turned out to be the biggest mistake of her life. In an attempt to make everything right from her perspective, she made a serious mistake. As a devoted kindergarten teacher and nice person, her life suddenly goes off track and brings Logan, her ex-husband, back into her life. Logan has never really recovered from the loss of his wife and the divorce. He is stuck and can’t move on. When fate throws Laney under the bus, he sees his chance has come. A really moving story with two wonderful characters who you can’t even blame for wrong decisions or acceptance. So far, despite everything, my favorite book of the series. But I am very curious about Matt’s story.

“When a cop, a ballerina and their history reunite.”

A beautiful written romance, about a couple of highschool sweethearts with the saddest and most selfless break up. When Kennedy and Travis reunite 18 years later, chances for a second chance a small at first. But their love once was big and the remnants are bigger. Sparks fly and so they become relatively fast overwhelmed by their feelings. But as always there are hurdles to overcome, broken hearts to repair, mistrust to usher away and then someone or something gets in the way. I liked Kennedy very much, despite everything she makes the best of it. Work, home, her feelings. And Travis. He made a bad choice, or an unthoughtful one, but he is the bookboyfriend dreams are made of. I am so ready for the next book in this world. Because the people there are so kind and beautifully written, you want to know, what is next.

Favourite Quote: “ I trust you, Star, with everthing I am”.

I’m not ready to say goodbye. Not in the least. 6 people, 6 mostly tragic backgroungds makes 3 wonderful love stories. This time isn a „favourite“ couple for me. But that is good. I liked them all the same. But Kellan`s and Star`s story got to me the most. The devastating try to be „normal”, the wish to be accepted as you are, being loved and understand. Never have two people been better for each other than these two. I could and I`ve felt with their thouights, behaviour and actions. Kellan was such a brave guy. His will to be the man for Star. To overcome his deep issues. He will always have a special place in my heart. And Star? She is a strong girl most of the time. Despite everything she never gave really up. And especially not when it counted most. There was never once the question if there will be a HEA. Only in which way we get it. Yes, it was painful. Yes, it was difficult. But worth every minute. The “bad” circumstances in this story? Yeah, that was hard to read. From both sides. But it made the end oh so much sweeter. Leila has created a world that will be impossible to forget, or to let go completly. At least for me. She writes her stories in a way that you cannot put the book down. I tried. Many times. So, I read it in one go. And in the end there was only one big regret. Why is it over? Thank you, Leila.

“OMG! This book got me on my knees!”

If you read the first book of the shadow river elite, then you know it ended with a little cliffhanger, or with an outlook on what happens next. Therefore we are immediately drawn into the story of Raven and Maddox. I think I cried more often than the character themselves for their stories. I really and absolutley love Raven. What a beautiful human being with the heart and soul of a caring daughter, friend and roommate. And Maddox? Boy, I never read about a male character who was so full of everything and stands by it. He has flaws, issues and a temper problems, but that is what makes him, him and I Loved it. His roughness and edges are real. Their way with each other was hard, rough and sometimes painful. Trust issues, angst and lack of communication are in the way. There were things I didn’t see coming, again. Things I thought would happen, but gladly didn’t and things that were unbelievable.. Ravens passion is impressive but also her weak point. Maddox does everything other than impress this family, more the opposite. But how far are you willing to go? And what happens when in the end the perfect chaos comes to your rescue? Wow. Highly recommended.
