Sweet like sugar!

What a sweet and beautiful story. Luke and Kylie’s journey began a long time ago, but was sadly interrupted. Now, 15 years  and 2 heartbraking experiendes later, fate lead these two to each other again. But life isn’t as simple as it was when they were teenagers. And wants and needs to coordinate is not easy. Then put a little girl in the mix and everything is fine in Love you, Maine? Or it either is not so much as it could be. My heart was with Kylie all the time. Life and people throw her sticks and stones in her way, but she always made at least the best of it, till now. Luke is the definition of “guy who deserves love”. With family, friends and a heart of a town it was the perfect read for a feel good time. It had many funny moments that had me rofl. And moments of sighs. At a sad or sweet chapter. You get easily attached to all the characters and want to know more about them. Funny, caring and sensitive written at the right time and on point.

New but soooo good!

This book is what Movie’s are made of. It shows us two people with two lifes that couldn’t be more different. And at the same time it teaches us a lecture. How to treat, or better, not to treat people. That, what you see at first isn’t always the only thing that matters. I felt so deeply with Jamie from the first page till the last one. All she does, suffered and dreams she know she wouldn’t reach. Gavin was an idiot. At first. The he wasn’t. And at that point I liked him. But we know that the big ending has yet to come. And it does. But to my like it got not as bad as I thought. And of course we got what we wanted from the first page on. It was fun reading, written in a fluidly style with great and witty characters. Hello granny. It’s something you don’t get to read that much but should. At the end you see things differently, in a good way. Thanks.

„Kiss to Belong“ by Anna B. Doe

Kiss to Belong

By Anna B. Doe

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Back at Blairwood University. Anna has once again succeeded in writing a wonderful book with Kiss to Belong. Back to college with all the lovable characters and their different stories. This time it’s about Maddox, who does something that is never natural or special, and Alyssa, who learns that sometimes you have to look closer. Maddox is the best friend of all. Reliable, loyal, and a rock. Alyssa is going through something and making decisions that don’t come naturally either, and that to me makes her a strong character. Both are wonderful characters that you immediately take to your heart. Who would do anything for each other’s happiness, sometimes out of selflessness. Two best friends since childhood who see themselves and each other in a new light and realize what really matters. The theme in this story is again special and profound and as always it is described and solved incredibly sensitive and natural. You love, suffer and tremble with the characters and their feelings. It’s easy to empathize. But you are also brought to the HEA in a roundabout way and with stones in the way. Especially the ending brought me to tears and touched me. As always, perfectly told without exaggeration to the point and empathetic. I received an ARC for an objective review.

„More than Second Chances“ by Sara Jane Woodley

More than Second Chances

By Sara Jane Woodley

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I like small town romances, second chance romance very much. And this book fullfilles this topics. We have Grace, a young woman who sacrified a lot to safe her mothers lagacy, the Morning Bell Cafe, founded by both her parents. With her heart broken by her childhood crush it is all she wants to do anyway. Nicholas retuns home to Aston Falls to leave his mess of a life from Chicago behind. The hometowns football star recovers from an injury and is getting trough a divorce. By some coincidence these two come together as friends and help each other. This nearness forces old feelings to life again. But as these two grab their second chance, circumstances force the to make dicisions they pushed aside. Nicholas, who wants nobody to dissapoint and Grace who wants to have her two dreams. Can these two overcome all their obstacles and become their HEA. I highly recommend these well written and heartwarming (and a little breaking) story so much. The writingstyle is one of these who holds you reading till the end. Loved it, thanks for a good time.

„Behind His Eyes“ by Claire Kingsley

Behind his Eyes (Jetty Beach Series)

By Claire Kingsley

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A beautiful story about 2 people who truly deserve love and devotion. Nicole flees back to Jetty beach to lick her wounds after the end of a year-long relationship. Ryan is here for help and support. Both have known each other since they were children, but lost touch with their teenage years. Very quickly a tremendous attraction to each other develops and they both succumb. Unfortunately, Ryan does not tell Nicole about his problem and when he suddenly breaks up with her, Nicole no longer understands the world.

It is nice to read how carefully the topic of depression is dealt with here without playing it down or letting the story become too tragic. For me, a balanced mixture that shows that you should always talk to the people who are important to you, even if it is difficult. And that everyone gets his happy ending even if he like Ryan for several reasons did not believe in it. I look forward to the next stories of the residents of Jetty beach.

„Shattered Love“ by Bianca Borell

Shattered love

By Bianca Borell

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

In this book we got to know the story of Damien and Bria. It is part 1 of 3 and we experience in this part in several flashbacks the great love of Damien and Bria, a supposed misstep and the consequences of it. We see quite early that Bria’s mistake was not one but was brought about. We learn that the loss of the love of life can truly break your heart and make you sick. Or could make you numb and cruel.

An emotional roller coaster of all feelings. I had a lot of sympathy for Bria, she gave not only her heart but almost her life so that Damien can be truly happy. And I often disliked Damien for the way he treated Bria instead of questioning everything more deeply. Tragedy, sorrow, friendship and love can all be found in this book, but it ends with a cliffhanger that makes you more than curious to see what happens next.

„Kiss to Remember“ by Anna B. Doe

Kiss to Remember

By Anna B Doe

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Back at Blairwood University.

Everyone knows that you can sympathize with the characters in a book, but that you can feel them yourself is rare. I don’t know how else to describe it, but this extraordinary story touches me very much on several levels. Grace is one of the nicest characters I have ever read. What I like most about her is the fact that she doesn’t change until the end of the book. She doesn’t suddenly become the heroine or the cool confident chick. I found Trent fascinating. Drawn to Grace for reasons he doesn’t understand, despite a relationship that lasted years. His behavior towards both women was decent, I liked that a lot. You knew something was coming, but what really happened I didn’t expect. It was tragic and incredibly sad. But Anna managed to get everything back to a happy ending. Beautifully and sensitively told without rambling. Emotional but in appropriate measure. Highly recommended. A book that you will not forget so quickly.

„Give her Hell“ by L.J. Woods

Give Her Hell

By L.J.Woods

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A dark and twisted college bully romance on a whole new level.

Milo, you can love him or hate him but I think the latter. Milo acts according to his feelings in my opinion. And he always does that in the extreme without a filter. Milo is much more emotional as you may think. Lucie has to act with her mind, but is caught up by the young girl she is. And when she is with Milo she forgets all that and she becomes like him. Both together are explosive, with each other and for each other. But they do have one or two things in common. The story is in two worlds that actually do not come together like that, but that is what makes the book so exciting, exciting and interesting. If you are a fan of crime, desire, hot scenes and yes, romance, then you have to read it.
