Mr Irresistable
By Jodie Larson
Trope: An enemies-to-lovers Office Romance
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Full of a little bit of everything
This book impressed me unknowst. I found the blurb very interesting and dived in without further knowledge. And am I glad I did. So much funny and witty encounters, so many steamy and hot moments. And so much unspoken thruths and confessions.
The story of Mr Irresistable, Tyler Cannon, and sassy Maysen Jones is unique. Despite knowing each other since second grade but not seeing for 10 years, Maysen is more likely shocked to discover who is her boss at her new job. But more shocking is, that it seems that he didn’t recognize her. But to be honest, nothing new there, in highschool it was the same and gladly Maysen is so over her teenage crush for him. Right? But when the pin drops finally it seems the hunt is open. There are so much more aspects, sideeffects and little hurdles in the way to a happy end, that made me want to read more and more. And truly, I was sad as I finished it. Yeah, it was that good. New formed friendships, jealous co-workers, old friendships reactivated and a lot of secrets to come to light. In more ways than you would guess.
I liked Maysen and her being in every way. She hadn’t had it easy but not in a bad kind of way. She can stand her ground and for herself. She takes as good as she gives and is a woman who wants to blend in the crowd… well, mostly.
Tyler, this guy is honest, if you like it or. He tests Maysens limits and his own as well in the process. He likes his work but isn’t an overarchiver. But when sets his sight he goes for them and all in… well mostly.
I would like to read more from this world, because there are a few sidecharacters that made me curious about them.
