„Dear Love, I hate You“ by Eliah Greenwood

Dear love, I hate you

By Eliah Greenwood

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Haven’t we all wondered with whom and how we should share our confessions?! Does that make us vulnerable or susceptible to blackmail? What can become of it we read in this extraordinary book. Told alternately from the perspective of the two main protagonists. We get to know the supposedly unassuming Aveena, who only slowly learns that one should never let oneself be pushed into the shadows, no matter by whom. With a seemingly unconcerned mother and a career-driven sister. And Xavier who is not as superficial and cool as it seems. With parents who are not very interested in his real being but self-centered. Both have to fight with demons, events and to choose which friends are really friends. How childhood friends could become strangers, how feelings can be created by words and what really matters in the end,. Family, truth, friendship….Love?! I have now read it again to be able to devote myself to the next part.

This is the 4. and final book in the sacred hill rejects series. Told from Paxtons POV again. Seperated from his mate by his father the alpha and betrayed from pack members Paxton makes some neccessary decisions. After escaping and finding Eden, who was being held captive Paxton goes wild. When Luna, Edens friend is being involved, things get out of control. But the HEA is in sight. With every book, Eden became more selfconcious und her trust in Paxton grew. Paxton grew up and stands to Eden and their bond. I’m a sad that this story is finished. Highly recommended. Recieved this book as an ARC in exchange for an objective and honest review.

In book three oft he Sacred Hill Rejection we continue with Edens POV. Slowly but surely, Eden can get comfortable with the idea of being fated with Paxton. They grow closer, begin to trust each other and stand by each other in front of everyone. Until fate strikes again. Poor Eden and poor Paxton too. I suffer with both of them and can’t wait for the next and final part. A fast and good book like the previous two. Short and to the point without leaving anything out or rambling too far.

5 stars for the second book of the rejected mate romance. This part is told from Paxton’s point of view. It is very interesting to see how his attitude to everything changes and he is willing to give it a chance. Eden, however, is hurt because of her past and wants to be left alone. The ending was surprising and ends with a cliffy. Can’t wait for the next part. Highly recommended if you like shifter / rejected mate romances. Short and to the point, focused on the essentials. Everything done right.

I recieved this book as an ARC and I have to say… I loved it.

As a fan of PNR,  especially wolf shifter / rejected mate stories I was very excited  as I read about this book.

Once I started to read I was in it so deep, it brought me directly to tears, and I do not cry easily. I felt so so sorry for Eden from the very beginning and wanted to hug her and never let go. I couldn`t understand the behaviour of the pack, so cold and cruel. It shouldn`t be this way. I liked that Eden found some strength, power und bravery. Hopefully she stays that way. I still can’t quite figure out Paxton. His contradictory actions and words. I’m curious where this will lead. Maybe he will quickly find the right way. The only thing that bothered me was that the book ended too quickly. Looking forward to volume two. Beautifully and fluidly written, no unnecessary info. Nothing too drawn out in length. Highly recommended.

„Devil Heir“ by Rachel Leigh

Devil Heir

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I love stories of step siblings, especially those with enemies to lovers.

I honestly didn’t like Blaise at all in the beginning and was curious how his path would go in the story.

I just felt sorry for Penelope, being thrown into a new family unintentionally and then being bullied, hated or shunned by everyone at the stepbrother’s request, brutal.

Just to be able to guess the thought of the new stepfather was bad for her, the heartlessness of the mother makes stunned.

Unfortunately, she could not defend herself with her shy and nice character.

It has caused me partly heart palpitations when you had to read the handling of Penny then as in the present time. I just wanted to hold her dear and really beat up the rest.

With the chapters of Blaise I could then understand him better and then liked him, but his way was wrong.

I could now share a lot about my thoughts regarding the other characters, but that would be too much.

Conclusion: In the end, yes, I almost loved Blaise, was happy with Penelope, grateful for Paxton and Wade.

A book with depths in different directions, but a happy happy ending. Perfectly written and described, I could feel everything and understand the thoughts mostly.

„Ford“ by L.A. Cotton

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It is the cover of the german edition which I nevertheless review in english. I read both versions, and liked both very much.

There’s not much Jason Ford likes or tolerates. Really just his two best friends, Cameron and Asher, football and …. Girls.

Not all girls, though. His stepsister Hailee and her friend Felicity are not among them.

Family problems with his father and stepmother have left Jason cold and uncaring. He has only one goal. To become football pro, because he is the best. And to defeat Thatcher Lewis.

Otherwise he doesn’t let much get to him, until at some point, somehow unintentionally Felicity does.

But then suddenly not only Jason’s heart is in danger but also the girl and his future.

Felicity Giles was never one of the popular girls, an outsider because of her friendship with Hailee, triggered by her stepbrother. However, the girl with the weird clothes and her list comes into the focus of Asher and Jason because of Cam & Hails‘ new relationship. Enjoy your senior year and make all the experiences that a highschooler has to make is Felicitys focus.

A very touching story about a boy who was very hurt in childhood who gradually finds his feelings and heart again and allows them, and a girl who never thought she could have the boy of all boys. A boy who realizes that feelings do not only weaken and forgiveness is a process.

A very touching continuation of the Rixon Raiders series despite the cool main character. I like all of them very much including their flaws, they are only human and next I will come to Asher’s story.

„The Forever Plan“ by Amy Alves

The Forever Plan

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

In book 3 of the Landry Love series, we meet Willa and Evan. In high school they became sweethearts and it quickly became clear that they were meant for each other. They even go to college together in the same city and live together for several years.

Until life throws a spanner in the works.

The already more than just difficult relationship of Evan to his father, which ended with a throw out because “he was an adult” is transferred in his absence to his little brother, Trent.

When his father simply moves out one day and leaves the 15-year-old Trent alone, Evan immediately takes responsibility for him.

Unfortunately, he does not involve Willa in the planning, but simply presents her his future plans that do not involve her anymore.

What Willa doesn’t know is that Evan only wanted her to pursue her dream.

Years later Willa comes back for 3 months and wants to get closer to Evan and also have explanations.

A more difficult thing than expected, but with Trent’s help and her persistence and stubbornness, Willa gets closer to her goal.

I love Willa, Evan and Trent. They are all so kind and selfless people that you just have to like, even if sometimes you just want to shake and yell at them.

A recommendable book for all who like to read stories about second chances, small town lovestories and lovely people. A tip from me, read also the previous books, it is not a must but advisable and of course also beautiful stories.

„Hate you, Henley“ by Hannah Gray

Hate you, Henley

By Hannah Gray

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I was immediately captivated by the story. A deep friendship from birth that could have become more, and as so often happens, turns to hate through misunderstanding and concealment.

I loved how persistent Weston is in his efforts to protect Henley, and I loved what Henley actually does to protect Weston.

After a mistake is made and even more horrible experience afterwards, Henley’s world is nothing but painful.

She doesn’t want to let anyone get close to her and least of all Weston.

Weston has no idea what happened to Henley, he only knows that the girl he loves is no longer herself.

Suspicions and silence have also ruined his relationship with his twin, as he suspects that Dane has something to do with Henley’s behavior.

Nevertheless, it comes as it must, Weston and Henley come closer and confess their feelings, then it comes to the bang. The truth comes out and has to come out.

Weston pulls away hurt and Henley takes that as an opportunity to change and fight.

I love the happy ending and the epilogue. Of course, all is well after a long and painful road.

Also the two families, their cohesion and understanding was impressive and heartwarming to read.

Also for the side characters. A beautiful story that shows you should never give up, no matter what side you are on.

Written fluidly and encouraging to read on.

Highly recommended.

Trope: Small town, romance, Older brother’s best friend romance

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Favourite Quote: “Like the ache will burn you alive”

“This romance has it all”

This is my first book by this author but DEFINITELY not my last. I like the kind of story, small town, older brother’s friend. And this one really hit every nerve with me. You could literally feel everything the characters felt thanks to the writing style. It was so vividly described and written. About the story: we have Harper, a pre-kindergarten teacher with body and soul. When suddenly the fate of 2 small children plays with badly, she immediately helps. But some obstacles force her to enlist the help of Knox, her older brother’s best friend, and her childhood crush. Knox agrees, of course, and suddenly finds himself in a situation he never expected. Suddenly, Harper and Knox have to go down paths together that they would never have dared to think about. A long, hard and sometimes tearful road lies ahead for the two, but in the end the heart always wins. I like Knox and Harper very much, this will happen to everyone. And their friends and the kind of friendships are wonderful and go to the heart.
